The Next Pop Star is a reality vocal competition that was conceived to showcase South Florida's most gifted young singers and performers and challenge their dedication to make it big. "The Next Pop Star" will provide a televised stage for solo performers between the ages of 13 and 25, who will first audition with the top 60 contestants being invited back to a call back round to be cut down to the top 30 contestants and then face a competitive elimination process leading up to their choice of either a $ 2500 cash prize or a $100,000 recording contract with Pop Starz Records.
The top 30 contestants will be invited back to compet against each other in a series of “showcase” performances, with only the top 10 contestants surviving to the semi finals. Here is where things get interesting. Unlike other televised vocal competitions, the remaining 10 contestants will leave the comfort of the studio behind and hit the road for 10 days of performances and challenges that test their abilities and prove that they have what it takes to succeed in the “business”. The remaining 2 contestants will then battle it out in front of a live audience for the title of “The Next Pop Star” and their choice of either a $ 2500 cash prize or a $100,000 recording contract with Pop Starz Records. |
